Important Dates

  • Opening of Online Registration: January 7, 2025, at 00:00 hrs
  • Closing Date for Online Submission: February 6, 2025, at 23:59 hrs
  • Fee Payment Deadline: February 8, 2025
  • Application Modification Window: February 9 to February 18, 2025

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess the required qualifications as per the vacancy table (Annexure-A) by the application deadline. Those awaiting final exam results are not eligible.
  2. Age Limit: The age range varies between 18 and 48 years, depending on the post and category, with relaxations for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and other eligible categories.
  3. Medical Fitness: Candidates must meet specific medical standards, including vision requirements, as defined in the Indian Railway Medical Manual.

Application Process

  • Applications are to be submitted online only via the official RRB websites.
  • Candidates are allowed to apply for only one RRB and should thoroughly read the notification before choosing their options.
  • A non-refundable application fee applies, with partial refunds for candidates appearing in the first-stage CBT.

Examination Details

  • The recruitment process includes:
    • Single Stage CBT
    • Translation/Performance/Teaching Skill Tests (for applicable posts)
    • Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination
  • The CBT will include sections on General Awareness, Mathematics, Reasoning, and Professional Ability. Negative marking applies (1/3 marks deduction for each incorrect answer).
  • Minimum qualifying marks vary by category: UR/EWS – 40%, OBC – 30%, SC/ST – 25% (PwBD candidates may receive further relaxation).

Additional Instructions

  • Applicants must ensure the accuracy of their personal and academic details during the registration process.
  • Fraudulent practices, such as impersonation or submitting multiple applications, will result in disqualification.
  • SC/ST candidates are eligible for free travel passes for attending CBT and other recruitment stages.

Reservation Policies

The recruitment process adheres to vertical and horizontal reservation rules, ensuring fair representation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates.
