Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a prestigious Navaratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has announced an exciting recruitment drive for 350 Probationary Engineer posts across India.

Available Positions

  1. Probationary Engineer (Electronics)
    • Vacancies: 200
    • Pay Scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 (CTC: ₹13 Lacs)
  2. Probationary Engineer (Mechanical)
    • Vacancies: 150
    • Pay Scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 (CTC: ₹13 Lacs)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

  • A first-class B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in:
    • Electronics/Electronics and Communication
    • Electronics & Telecommunication
    • Communication/Telecommunication
    • Mechanical Engineering
  • Candidates in the final semester/year (completing by May/June 2025) can apply, provided they produce their degree certificates during joining.

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025)

  • OBC (NCL): Age relaxation of 3 years
  • SC/ST: Age relaxation of 5 years
  • General/EWS: Maximum 25 years
  • PwBD: Additional relaxation of 10 years

Reservation Details

The recruitment adheres to government guidelines for reservations:

  • UR: 143
  • EWS: 35
  • OBC (NCL): 94
  • SC: 52
  • ST: 26

Additionally, posts are identified for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD).

Selection Process

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Duration: 120 minutes
  • Format: 125 objective-type questions (100 technical, 25 aptitude and reasoning)
  • Marking: 1 mark per question; 0.25 negative marking for incorrect answers
  • Qualifying Marks:
    • General/OBC/EWS: 35%
    • SC/ST/PwBD: 30%

2. Interview

  • Weightage: CBT (85%), Interview (15%)
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for interviews in a 1:5 ratio based on CBT scores.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC (NCL)/EWS: ₹1,000 + GST (₹1,180 total)
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen: Exempt

How to Apply

  1. Online Registration: Visit the BEL careers portal.
  2. Document Upload: Ensure scanned copies of your photograph and signature (50–100 KB each) are ready.
  3. Fee Payment: Complete via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, or UPI.

Exam Centers

BEL has listed multiple exam centers across India, allowing candidates to select five preferences. However, allocation depends on availability, and travel costs for CBT are not reimbursed.

Training and Service Agreement

  • Training Duration: 6 months
  • Service Bond: Selected candidates must serve BEL for at least 2 years, with a penalty of ₹2,00,000 for breach of the agreement.
