Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025: Apply Now for 300 Navik Vacancies!

The Indian Coast Guard has announced the Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (CGEPT) – 02/2025 Batch for the recruitment of 300 Navik positions in the General Duty (GD) and Domestic Branch (DB) categories. Online applications are open from 11 February 2025 (11:00 AM) to 25 February 2025 (11:30 PM).

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualifications:
    • Navik (General Duty): Must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized board.
    • Navik (Domestic Branch): Must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board.
  2. Age Limit:
    • Minimum: 18 years
    • Maximum: 22 years
    • Candidates born between 01 September 2003 and 31 August 2007 are eligible.
    • Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer).

Selection Process

The recruitment involves a 4-stage process:

  1. Stage I: Online written exam (Objective type).
  2. Stage II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
  3. Stage III: Document Re-verification and Pre-enrollment Medical Examination.
  4. Stage IV: Final document verification before training at INS Chilka.

  • Proof of Date of Birth (Class 10 certificate/marksheet).
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.).

Salary and Benefits

  • Navik (GD/DB): Basic Pay of ₹21,700 (Pay Level-3) plus allowances.
  • Promotions up to Pradhan Adhikari with a pay scale of ₹47,600 (Pay Level-8).
  • Other benefits include free medical treatment, housing, insurance coverage of ₹75 lakhs, and post-retirement ECHS medical facilities.
