JCECEB Exam: The process of online application for enrollment in all the government and private engineering institutes of the state including BIT Sindri of Jharkhand is starting today, Friday, May 10. The last date for online application is 24th June. Students will apply on the basis of JEE Main 2024 exam score. The state merit list will be prepared by scrutinizing the applications made on the basis of JEE Main scores. Seats for enrollment will be allotted as per the state merit list.
No separate engineering entrance competitive examination is conducted in the state. There are 16 engineering colleges in Jharkhand. Students up to 11,10,304 ranks got places in the state merit list released in the year 2023. In these, the seat was allotted to the student who secured 8,75,419 rank in JCECEB JEE Main Counseling and BIT Sindri JEE Main Counselling. Talking about other engineering colleges of the state, students up to rank 10,71,171 had got seats.
Jharkhand Joint Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued instructions related to this. The state merit list will be released on July 2. Let us tell you that JEE is conducted on the basis of main score in all the government and private engineering colleges running in Jharkhand.

What is JCECEB?
JCECEB has been established by the Government of Jharkhand. It is the official authority responsible for conducting entrance examinations for admission into universities, affiliated colleges and technical institutes across Jharkhand. By giving JCECEB entrance exam, students can take admission in engineering, education, medical and allied sciences, agriculture and other fields.
JCECEB Exams:
JCECEB conducts several entrance examinations throughout the year, each for specific programmes:
- Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination (JEECE): For admission to B.Tech. Programs offered by engineering colleges in the state.
- Jharkhand Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (JPECE): For admission to diploma programs offered by polytechnic institutions across Jharkhand.
- Jharkhand Joint Entrance Competitive Examination for B.Ed. (JCECE-B.Ed.): For B.Ed.
- Entrance Exams for Other Programmes: JCECEB also conducts exams for admission to courses like B.Sc. Nursing, Paramedical programs and Agriculture courses.
