Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
Applicants must be born between 2nd July 2000 and 1st January 2006, inclusive of both dates.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in English during Class X or XII, along with 60% in one of the following educational streams:
- MSc/BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in:
- Computer Science
- IT
- Cyber Security
- Artificial Intelligence
- Data Analytics
- MCA with BCA/BSc in Computer Science or IT.
Selection Process
- Application Shortlisting:
Candidates are shortlisted based on their normalized academic scores. For BE/B.Tech students, marks up to the fifth semester will be considered. For postgraduate candidates, all semester marks will be reviewed. - SSB Interviews:
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews, where they will undergo various assessments. - Merit List:
A final merit list will be prepared based on SSB scores, followed by medical fitness and availability of vacancies.
Training and Service Tenure
Selected candidates will join as Sub-Lieutenant and undergo a six-week Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, followed by professional training at naval ships and establishments.
The initial service tenure is 10 years, extendable by up to 4 years in two terms of 2 years each, based on performance and service requirements.
